Hello all , I have question about mast heels or foot. I would like to know if anybody has changed this to a hinged tabernacle . Looking for selden mast parts for older boat (1974) any info on this subject would be great. Or any thread on this site. Thanks.

All original IF-boat Proctor masts are "hinged". There is a bolt through the mast foot and the fitting on deck, working as a "hinge", making it possible to lower the mast backwords.

Older Selden masts have not got his "built in" possibility, as there exists no such bolt. However new factory made Selden masts are "hinged" as well.

Thanks maja, I believe I have an old selden with just a heel pin.
